“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and then you will be my witnesses not only in Jerusalem but throughout Judea and Samaria and, indeed, to the end of the earth.”

--The Acts of the Apostles 1:8

“To be a witness does not consist in engaging in propaganda to convert people, or in stirring
them up to movement of hatred or violence against one another. It simply means to live in such
a way that one’s life would not make sense if God did not exist…Reflect Christ in his life.”

--The Gospel Without Compromise, by Catherine Doherty

“Author Marie-Eloise Rosenblatt thinks that these abandoned vessels symbolize the
transformation of women’s status. No longer will they merely do repetitive physical work.
They are called to be witnesses of Jesus’ resurrection.”

--Joanna, Delirious Nonsense by Kathy Coffey, St. Anthony Messenger, July, 2008

“--I must make a definitive decision to place the truth before my own welfare, career and possessions. For this too we need witnesses--martyrs--who have given themselves totally, so as to show us the way--day after day. We need them if we are to prefer goodness to comfort, even in the little choices we face each day. The saints were able to make the great journey of human existence in the way that Christ had done before them, because they were brimming with great hope.

--Saved in Hope Encyclical Letter by Pope Benedict XVI

Queens of Peace Scholarship Application is available at here and in the parish office and Gathering Area. A $500 scholarship will be awarded to one of QofP’s graduating high school seniors.
